Petition Materials

A successful petition will contain valid signatures from eligible electors equal to at least 60% of the total number of votes cast in the most recent election in the electoral division named in the recall petition.
It is recommended that additional signatures be collected in case any signatures are invalidated during the verification process.
- The Notice of Recall Petition (L-25-1502) must be attached to the Recall Petition Signature Sheet (L-25-1504) for electors to reference before signing. If a Member’s Response Statement (L-25-1510) was provided, this must also be attached Recall Petition Signature Sheet (L-25-1504). Each canvasser must always have these forms when collecting signatures.
Canvassers must confirm that signatories are eligible to sign the petition.
The physical address must be collected. Post office boxes and mailing addresses will not be accepted.
Electors must sign and date the Recall Petition Signature Sheet (L-25-1504) within the canvassing period. Signatures must be original; electronic or digital signatures are not accepted.
All information provided by the elector must be legible.
Canvassers must fully complete the canvasser portion at the bottom of each and every Recall Petition Signature Sheet (L-25-1504).
